By commissioning a garment from Elysian Threads ("we", "us"), you ("the client") agree to the terms outlined below. Our service is a collaborative process to create a unique, custom-made garment based on the client's measurements and design preferences.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost is required to commence work on any commission. This deposit secures your fabric and initiates the pattern drafting process. The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the garment at the final fitting, prior to delivery.
The client agrees to attend a minimum of two to three fittings as required by the bespoke process. Our standard lead time is approximately 8-12 weeks from the date of the first fitting. This timeline is an estimate and may be subject to change based on fabric availability and the complexity of the commission. We will communicate any potential delays promptly.
The fitting process is designed to achieve a perfect fit. Minor alterations identified during the final fitting are included in the commission price. However, significant changes to the design or fit requested after the toile/baste fitting stage may incur additional charges. As a bespoke item is made to a client's unique measurements and specifications, we do not offer refunds. Our commitment is to work with the client through the fitting process until complete satisfaction with the fit is achieved.
If a client chooses to cancel a commission after the deposit has been paid, the deposit is forfeited to cover the costs of fabric, which is cut specifically for the client, and the labor already invested in the pattern making and initial construction.
The unique paper pattern created for the client remains the physical and intellectual property of Elysian Threads. We archive this pattern for the exclusive future use of the client for subsequent commissions.
